This Rungstedlund dining table was designed by Danish designer Ole Wanscher and manufactured by Poul Jeppesen in St. Heddinge, Denmark, during the 1960s. The model was designed for the dining room of Karen Blixen’s home, Rungstedlund. The table is an excellent example of Danish Mid-Century Modern design, combining a minimalist form with high-quality craftsmanship. The table is crafted from mahogany wood. Its distinctive lightweight construction, slender legs, and gently rounded tabletop edges give the piece an elegant and timeless appearance. The table features two additional extension leaves, allowing its length to be easily adapted to current needs. The table has undergone professional woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in a rosewood colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer, which enhances the natural beauty of the wood grain and provides excellent resistance for everyday use. The table extends with two additional leaves from 145 cm to 210 cm, and with both leaves inserted to a maximum length of 275 cm.
