Corner armchair in carved beech, stamped jean avisse, 18th century some scratches on the wood and old traces of wood-eating insects upholstery and trim in very good condition seat covered with a cushion silky fabric decorated with large flowers, braid finish. Rests on three arched legs. Received master in 1745, jean avisse came from a family of cabinetmakers. Established on rue de cléry in paris, it quickly acquired a solid reputation for its pieces and especially its seats, sometimes of exceptional quality.
