Spring table lamp by Ingo Maurer for Design M, 1960s Germany. The Spring Table Lamp combines playful form with refined materials, featuring a polished chrome spiral base that brings a sense of movement and lightness to any interior. Above it rests an elegant oval opal-glass shade, softly diffusing light to create a warm, inviting glow. Its sculptural presence makes it both a functional lamp and a decorative statement piece. This lamp reflects the designer’s distinctive approach to lighting, playful, inventive and always with a strong sense of personality. Maurer, often called the “poet of light” is known for transforming simple forms into expressive and engaging designs. Under the Design M label, many of his early works were produced with a focus on quality materials and thoughtful craftsmanship.
