Vintage design. A striking floor lamp or table lamp in a spiral by the lighting designer Ingo Maurer. A spherical diffuser sits atop a massive chrome spiral. The glass is textured, creating a special effect with the light. The weight of the fixture contrasts with the lightness of the design. The open shape of the spiral, the glass, and the chrome play with reflection and transparency. The cable is intentionally visible inside the spiral and exits from the side. The lamp has a cord switch. The glass is probably not original.
