Workshop door 258,4x98,5cm in iron and colored cathedral glasses

Large and unusual door measuring 258.4x98.5cm and its colored glasses. Heavy and massive, pushing straight, this door is from the first half of the twentieth century (more than 80kg). Full in the lower part (up to 101cm high), the top is composed of its cathedral glasses in relief, translucent, transparent in the center, colored on the contour, in yellow-orange and pink-purple. Note that the tile at the top right seen from the outside, starry but well in place, could be changed by a similar glass, or opt for a change of the four corner glasses, even if it means choosing the shade to adapt it to its future location. The central tile of the lower part of the canopy is opening. It opens from the inside by a latch. On the outside side, a metal shelf can tilt at the front. It forms a small tray to serve as a counter. This tilting part is engaged in metal parts screwed onto the door. The whole is painted in light gray-beige, traces of wear and some shocks (see many photos). Its unusual size and this "counter" system make this old workshop or shopping door, a surprising and authentic decorative element! This solid glass door can be reused as a partition wall, glass roof. Dimensions: 258.4cm high, 98.5cm wide and 3.5cm thick.
