Ceramic dish, Jean Lurçat, 1950s

Rectangular glazed ceramic dish, signed Jean Lurçat (1892-1966) for the Sant-Vicens workshop. The central decoration depicts a stylized rooster-mermaid, an emblematic motif of Lurçat's symbolic imagination. The glazed background features shades of moss green and golden brown, enhanced with engraved black outlines. Numbered 4/110, this piece bears the handwritten signature J. Lurçat and the workshop stamp on the reverse. Very good condition.
