Hollywood regency gilt sheaf of wheat side table “coco chanel”, Italy 1960s

Italy / 1960 / side table / glass, metal / Hollywood regency / Mid-century. Beautiful decorative “Sheaf of Wheat Gueridon” coffee table designed in the style of Coco Chanel, Italy 1960. This table features a gilt metal base with circular glass top. A well proportioned wheat sheaf table dating to the mid 20th Century which was a firm favorite of Coco Chanel. Coco used this type of coffee table in her legendary Parisian apartment. A very elegant and bespoke piece of furniture. The base of the table is made with a gilt metal gathering of rope bound sheaf of wheat with gilded leaves and ears of corn having a circular glass top. A highly decorative piece in very good condition. The gilt base was recolored. A real eye-catcher for any modern home, living room or interior. Can be used as either a coffee table or side table.
