Napoleon III Console Table in Floral Marquetry, with Red Griotte Marble Top. Dimensions: Height: 102 cm. Width: 92 cm. Depth: 40 cm. Elegant console table in the Napoleon III style, featuring precious veneer and polychrome marquetry, opening with a central door that conceals an interior storage space. The front is adorned with a remarkable marquetry panel depicting a flower vase made up of multiple finely cut wood species. The decoration is framed by a rich beaded moulding in gilded bronze and highlighted by a chevron frieze. The uprights are embellished with gilded bronze drops featuring female caryatids and end in bronze hooves. The frieze presents an upper drawer marquetried with scrolls and fitted with movable bronze handles. The whole is topped with an elegant moulded red griotte marble, perfectly matching the richness of the veneer woods.
