Meridian, daybed from the late 18th century, Directory period.

Elegant daybed or chaise longue in solid walnut from the late Louis XVI period, Directoire, with a simple decoration of vases on the backs. The wood has been cleaned and polished. The front part features fluted corner brackets, while the part that rested against the wall is simpler. The backs have been carved to open towards the front (photo 7). The fabric has been cleaned; the overall condition is acceptable but should be reupholstered. Dimensions: seat length 180 cm, width 65 cm, total length including the uprights 194 cm.
