Rosewood and rosewood marquetry chest of drawers, Louis XV style – 2nd half of the 19th century.

Sumptuous Louis XV style chest of drawers, featuring a marquetry front in rosewood arranged in a butterfly wing pattern, enhanced by a rosewood surround. Its six drawers, equipped with finely chiselled bronze handles, offer generous storage capacity while maintaining unparalleled elegance. Every detail exudes artisanal excellence, from the functional lock with a sculpted key to the refined entry typical of the Louis XV style. This elegantly designed piece is topped with a stunning red marble from the Pyrenees, adding a distinctive touch. Finally, the uprights adorned with bronze mounts and the bronze fittings on the feet complete its noble and timeless appearance. The sides are made of rosewood veneer arranged in butterfly wings with a rosewood surround. A magnificent piece that will delight with its small size and quality. Period: 2nd half of the 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Varnished finish.
