The headboard is adorned with an openwork pediment with Gothic motifs topped by a central finial, framed by turned posts ending in pinnacles. A sculpted frieze of arcades highlights the upper rail and reinforces the architectural character of the whole. The walnut panels reveal a superb natural grain with warm tones, while the turned posts and sculpted elements testify to the care taken in its creation. The bed is sold with its original side rails and can accommodate a mattress of 140 X 190 cm.
