Set of 6 #71 teak chairs by Niels O. Møller, JL. Moller Mid Century

Dimensions: approx. 49 × 49 × 79 × 46 cm (Width × Depth × Height × Seat Height) A very beautiful and rare set of six dining chairs, designed by Niels O. Møller and manufactured by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark. Model 71 was first introduced in 1951 and is considered one of the earliest and most significant designs in the Møller collection – a cornerstone of Danish furniture history and the beginning of a series of creations still appreciated today. The filigree dining chair is distinguished by its elegantly curved backrest, made from several layers of glued moulded veneer, creating an exceptionally sculptural and harmonious silhouette. This complex construction ensures not only visual lightness but also great seating comfort. The frames, with their clear proportions in solid wood, highlight the craftsmanship and timeless elegance of this design. All chairs are in beautiful condition, stable, and retain their original hand-woven seat made of Danish paper cord, without damage and beautifully patinated in honey colour. The wood shows a lovely authentic patina as well as a few rare signs of normal use for its age. Condition: Very good vintage condition, fully functional and stable with charming patina. An exceptionally rare set in this size and quality, ideal for demanding living and dining spaces as well as for collectors of Scandinavian design classics.
