Tapestry "La nuit", by Alain Cornic, vintage, 60s

Original work emblematic of the seventies spirit, representing the owl of nyons, allegory of the night, certified authentic and coming from the parisian workshop mozet. Numbered 120 of 250, blonde series. The years from the late 30s to the early 70s saw an impressive production of contemporary and revolutionary tapestries in line with picasso but also and especially following jean luçat. This period is called "the renewal" and lasts about thirty years. It is also during this period that signatures on bolducs (ribbon used to tie packages) provided with the printed canvases appear. Certificate provided, in very good state of conservation. Probably made by the spinning workshops of roubaix, weaving after the drawing of the artist alain cornic. Work woven in 250 copies and signed by the artist.
