Compact yellow Mathieu Mategot 1960s magazine rack for Artimeta

Rare magazine rack designed by Mathieu Mategot and manufactured by Artimeta Soest, Holland, circa 1960. During the 1960s, Artimeta produced a number of licensed designs by Matégot. This example features his characteristic perforated metal construction and is finished in a rare yellow colour. The piece shows signs of use and some rust spots, consistent with age, but remains in good structural condition. A strong modernist object, suitable for a mid-century or contemporary interior project.
