Period cylinder desk (late 19th or early 20th century) in precious wood veneer (probably walnut). It features tapered legs (known as "gained") inspired by Louis XVI. The sliding cylinder opens to reveal a retractable writing surface covered in green felt, topped with three small internal drawers and storage compartments.
