Deep Plates (Calottes) in Limoges Porcelain GDA 1900. Bring the elegance of yesteryear's tables into your daily life with this magnificent set of 8 deep plates (calottes) in Limoges porcelain. A rare model due to its depth and the delicacy of its decoration. • Origin: GDA France (Gérard, Dufraisseix and Abbot), Limoges Manufacture. • Era: Early 20th century (Circa 1900-1940). • Dimensions: Diameter 19 cm|Height 4 cm. • Design: White porcelain with scalloped edges, decorated with a frieze of old rose antique roses and blue forget-me-nots. Gold trim around the edge. Although these plates have stood the test of time, their "calotte" shape (half-plate, half-bowl) is incredibly contemporary. They perfectly meet new consumption habits: • The Art of "Bowl Food": Their depth is ideal for current culinary trends: Poke bowls, Buddha bowls, or simply to enjoy a complete dish in a relaxed manner (even on the sofa!). • "Generous" Dishes: Unlike giant deep plates, this 19 cm format retains heat. It is the perfect vessel for saucy pasta, creamy risotto, or a hearty stew.
