Charming set of 7 antique/vintage dessert plates made of very fine white porcelain from Limoges, translucent in the light, unmarked but originating from the B&C° factory, Bernardaud and Company, with the remaining service to support. Produced between the 1920s and 1950s. Elegant octagonal model with a wide rim, typical Art Deco shape. Multicoloured floral transfer decoration, blue border, spring-like, warm, cheerful, and traditional. 22 cm in diameter and 2.3 cm in height. Used condition, the decorations and borders show manufacturing defects and wear from the transfer, and there are also defects in the glazing on surfaces with a discreet bubbled texture. Some utensil marks. Some have a patina, and some show manufacturing grains. No cracks or chips. Some signs of use. Approximately 250g each. Hand washing recommended, occasional dishwasher use is fine on a gentle, low-temperature cycle.
