Iconic and rare pendant designed by Sophus Frandsen in 1963 for Fog & Mørup. The Fibonacci model is one of the most recognizable designs and is becoming increasingly rare to find, especially in copper and in this condition. A stunning and complex lamp that combines technical lighting perfection with architectural beauty. This sleek and modern pendant is a perfect example of Frandsen's study of light and its practical application. It creates a pleasant, indirect light and is known for being anti-glare. This pendant was one of the most expensive lamps produced by Fog & Mørup, winning a gold medal at the Leipzig exhibition in 1967. It has been rewired with a 3 meter gold twisted cloth flex and insulated. The pendant is in original condition with all original parts including the nose cone shade which is often missing. This piece of mid-century design perfection has been completely dismantled and all parts cleaned. All the surfaces have age related wear and patina, all of which simply contributes to its originality and history, but it is extremely clean for its age. Can be used with LED or incandescent light bulbs, also a dimmer switch and on all continents. Originally this lamp was made for up to 200 watt incandescent light bulbs and it still maintains its original porcelain light bulb holder. Responsible worldwide shipping available.
