Art Deco oak table by Léon and Maurice Jallot 1940s

Art Deco oak table by Léon and Maurice Jallot from the 1940s, France. Oak dining table with a powerful appearance, typical of French production from this era. It is matched with the buffet reference 2095. Large thick top with sharp edges, resting on two massive "portico" legs connected by a stretcher, ensuring stability. The legs are rhythmically designed with sculpted/recessed uprights, a simple yet very architectural decorative detail. Beautiful presence of oak and generous proportions, ideal as a dining table or large work table. A model with a modernised rustic style that works very well in a contemporary interior as well as in a more classic decor.
