Wardrobe from matignon restoration style.

Rare furniture from the services of the Prime Minister, at Matignon. This Restoration-style cabinet has a rather surprising label inside: PROPERTY OF THE STATE, Prime Minister. The words: Liberty, Equality, Fraternity... It was until recently in the office of one of the Prime Minister's advisors. Like all furniture commissioned by the state, this piece is of very fine quality. Made entirely of veneered wood, with perfect clarity in design, it exudes discreet elegance with the superb gilded and openwork bronzes placed at the top of the flat uprights. The original two-point lock works perfectly with its original key. Inside, there are 3 original shelves made of solid veneered wood. They are adjustable on brackets (a 4th original shelf is also available). This piece has seen quite a bit of use and shows signs of wear such as scratches, small chips in the varnish, a varnish discolouration at the bottom of the right side, and other minor usual marks. However, it is solid, stable, and perfectly usable. Additionally, it has a beautiful presence enhanced by its prestigious provenance. H: 182 cm. W: 129 cm. D: 46 cm.
