This Murano glass lamp is a prized decorative piece from the late 20th century, combining the traditional art of glass blowing with a modern and abstract aesthetic. The body of the lamp is made of so-called "opalina" glass — a translucent glass with a milky appearance that diffuses light softly, thus avoiding any harsh glare. The "filament" pattern is not painted; it consists of fine strands of glass fused directly onto the molten glass body. This gives the object its characteristic texture as well as its unique organic look. The contrast between dark brown and white, enhanced by a band of deep burgundy at the base, is typical of Italian and Austrian design from the 1980s and 90s, imitating the warm style of productions from the late 60s/70s. A true piece of artisanal design. The object is handmade, which explains its "variant" verticality and the few imperfections due to the glass itself. No cracks or chips. In excellent condition and perfectly functional. Dimensions: 27 cm in height, 14 cm in diameter, 9 cm at the base and at the top.
