Italian painting signed Marko forest landscape from 19th century

COD 11528. Italian painting from the late 19th century. Oil on canvas, first canvas, artwork depicting a woodland landscape, Sunset in the Woods, of good pictorial quality. The painting, which extends vertically, is of beautiful size and proportion, adorned with a carved and gilded wooden frame with a velvet mat, showing some signs of wear (see photo). Signed lower right, H. Marko (see photo), attributed to the painter Henry Marko (1855-1921), missing additional documentation. A painting with a pleasing perspective, for antique dealers, interior decorators, and collectors. This painting is part of a pendant (the second painting is sold separately; ask for the price of the pair, if available). The artwork has a beautiful patina and has undergone conservative restoration, with two small patches visible on the back. The canvas shows signs of humidity/water on the upper edge, which have affected the color, leaving a halo (see photo); it requires restoration. Overall, the painting is in fair condition.
