This sculptural tubular floor lamp, attributed to the renowned Italian designer Gaetano Sciolari, is a quintessential example of Space Age design from the 1970s. Sciolari, known for his innovative work with metal, often utilized silvered tubes and geometric forms, as seen in this elegant piece. The lamp features a round base, a central shaft, and eight lights arranged in pairs around the top. Crafted from chrome-plated metal with an anodized finish, the lamp is preserved in very good condition. It has been recently inspected and overhauled by a certified electrician, including a replacement of the cable, plug, and switch to ensure modern safety standards while maintaining its original aesthetic. The piece displays a light, pleasant patina consistent with its age, which can be polished to a high shine if preferred. Originating from Italy, this floor lamp perfectly captures the sophisticated and futuristic style of the 1970s. Dimensions: Diameter 40 cm, Height 150 cm.
