"Pair of high stools '64', Artek by Alvar Aalto, Finland, circa 2007"

Pair of high stools Artek, design by Alvar Aalto, Finland, 2007 These two pieces charm with the simplicity of their design, the balance of their proportions, and their immediately recognizable silhouette. They illustrate the Scandinavian design approach, where functionality is combined with a clean aesthetic, designed to endure through the ages without losing relevance. Each stool features a round seat with simple lines, highlighted by a visual thickness that gives it a strong presence. The base consists of four curved legs, slightly flared towards the ground, ensuring a silhouette that is both graphic and elegant. The circular footrest, connecting the legs at mid-height, adds a functional element while contributing to the visual balance of the whole. The matte black finish enhances the sculptural character of the stools and allows them to easily integrate into various decorative settings: minimalist interiors, contemporary kitchens, industrial lofts, or eclectic vintage decor. Sold as a pair, this set is ideal for accompanying a kitchen island, a counter, or a bar area. Their understated design allows them to be paired with both natural materials—wood, stone, terrazzo—and more contemporary surfaces, such as metal or concrete.
