A remarkably large and very comfortable Austrian lounge chair from the 1950s, designed by one of the most important post-war Austrian architects, Oswald Haerdtl, who studied and collaborated with Josef Hoffmann. The chair features a wooden frame with walnut legs, fully restored and covered in new grey KVADRAT fabric. Despite its monumental size, its shape and proportions are very elegant and light, making it extremely comfortable. It comes directly from a Viennese villa, the Villa Pertl, designed by Haerdtl in 1957. Thus, this fantastic chair is a rare and significant piece of post-war Austrian design history.
