Artist listed on ARTPRICE Brazilian painter, illustrator, and teacher. Vilma Faria Pasqualini graduated from the National School of Fine Arts (ENBA) in 1946. In 1959, she took a course in printmaking at the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAM/RJ), Under the direction of Johnny Friedlaender (1912-1992). At the National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA), she studied art criticism with José Roberto Teixeira Leite. From 1968 to 1978, she worked as an illustrator for Revista Esso, Jornal do Brasil, and the publishing houses Expressão e Cultura, Nova Fronteira, Presença, Difel, and Agi. In Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, she taught at the Institute of Exact Sciences of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) from 1971 to 1978. That same year, she studied printmaking at the Pratt Graphics Center and the Art Students League of New York. She held her first solo exhibition in 1964 at the Vila Rica Gallery in Rio de Janeiro.
