Modernist dining table from the 1960s, designed by Franco-Italian designer Louis Paolozzi (winner of the prestigious René Gabriel prize in 1968) for the high-end modular furniture line "Monopoly." • Equipped with a sliding top with a so-called "portfolio" opening, the table instantly doubles its seating capacity. • The upper top tilts and unfolds smoothly thanks to original brass hinge mechanisms, revealing a large, convivial dining table. • Top: High-quality teak veneer with contrasting and geometric wood grain. • Base: Sleek and geometric structure made of black lacquered square metal tubing, finished with brass pads. • Design: Minimalist architectural lines, a perfect example of the French modernist movement of the 60s. Note to collectors: Part of a complete set, a large low sideboard (with vinyl storage for 33 RPM records) and a matching high stepped cabinet from the same Louis Paolozzi Monopoly range in teak are also available in very good condition (sold separately, see my other listings). 📏 Dimensions: Height: 72 cm. Width: 90 cm. Depth: 90 cm. Closed top: 90 X 85 cm. Open top: 180 X 85 cm. Very good condition. This item is an antique sold second-hand. It naturally shows signs of time and use. This is precisely what gives it charm and a unique character. In particular, this piece has very light signs of use on the top visible in the photo. ☀️ Note regarding the photos: The site photos may sometimes lack sharpness due to automatic compression.
