Superb pair of Mid-Century candlesticks in ceramic from a German workshop, made by Till Sudeck (1926–2014), an important figure in studio ceramics in Germany. His work is heavily influenced by Japanese ceramics and Zen aesthetics, a sensitivity reflected in the form and material of these pieces. These candlesticks feature an organic and sculptural silhouette, with free and slightly asymmetrical lines, resting on a compact base. The glaze is particularly remarkable: a flowing effect, almost "lava, " blending shades of blue and green with natural variations from the firing process. Each piece is unique, with its own nuances and textures. ✣ Dimensions: Diameter: 10.5 cm. Height: 5 cm. ✨ Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with only slight signs of age. No chips or cracks. One of the two pieces is signed underneath the base.
