Modernist carpet produced by the german company salewa from the 1960s to 1970s. Consisting of virgin wool "high pile" knotted to the machine on a very sturdy linen base, with high-quality weaving, the all german robustness of this carpet allowed it to cross the decades without a wrinkle. Less well known to the french public, this brand with proven reliability beyond the rhine, however, has nothing to envy its competitors desso, bergoss or besmer. Salewa, here is an immediate part of both the rya technique and the runic-inspired motif, in the aesthetics and rendering of the scandinavian tribal naturalistic carpets of the seventies, in an undisguised lineage. We will immediately think of ege taepper or ritva puotila. Sober at first glance, everything is played here in detail: each circle playing its score, to offer the whole a symphony all controlled and generous. Rich in symbols, one never tires of admiring this shimmering red so varied, which fills the space with its multiplied geometric shapes. With no noticeable blemishes, very well preserved, this rya roars with thick and generous wool will dress your interior with a special warmth! "gem-tlichkeit, " the germans will say. A word that is difficult to translate, which only the tranquillity and well-being of a soothing and soothed hearth can demonstrate, a feeling intimately linked to the place, to the cozy atmosphere, that this carpet seems here ready to create. A thorough cleaning to perfect the brilliance of the material and colors will remain a plus, left to the free appreciation of the buyer, who will make these carpets his own for decades to come. Dimensions: l135xh200.
