Art Deco marble and onyx bookends

Charming pair of Art Deco bookends (old fireplace decorations that usually accompanied a clock), made from a superb combination of marbles and onyx in shades of beige, ochre, and off-white. The geometric design highlights the natural contrasts of the materials. A hollow space of 2.7cm in depth is located at the top of the bookends, allowing for the placement of small objects (stamps, paperclips, coins, jewellery…). Ideal for securely holding your books in place while adding a sophisticated touch to your library or office. In generally good condition. There are discreet chips on the edges and corners, with a few rare nicks. Weight 2.560kg.
