Opaline de Vallerysthal chalice cup Art Nouveau 1910 white opaline H16cm

This superb Art Nouveau bowl is made of white opaline, known as "soap bubble". It is a dessert bowl with a tall stem from the Vallerysthal glassworks. This model is featured in the 1908 catalogue "ref. 3508". With its chalice in a milky white colour, this footed bowl is adorned with patterns of scrolls and volutes moulded into the glass. The stem is slender and decorated with the same motifs. This model is elegant and timeless. It measures 16 cm in height X 16 cm in width. Note: there are manufacturing defects (bubbles in the glass, a pierced bubble, and a firing crack) and small chips at the base.
