Solid wood, upholstered piano stool - Germany, first half of the 20th century

A high-quality, very comfortable swivel piano stool made of solid walnut with a genuine leather seat. It rests on three turned legs and a wide central column supporting the swivel. The columns are connected at the top by a round wooden plate and at the bottom by a slightly curved triangular plate. Carefully crafted and robust, this stool is quite heavy (7,600 g). Its height is adjustable from approximately 48 to 63 cm. The swivel operates perfectly and without play. The seat has been reupholstered in thick, durable leather. This stool likely dates from the first half of the 20th century and was originally fitted with a rattan seat. It is in very good working order, with slight surface wear. Height: 48 to 63 cm.
