Vintage modular table (unfolded top: 120 X 90 cm), typically industrial and functional design from the mid-20th century. The top in varnished veneer: The wood has a very straight and regular grain (resembling mahogany or sapele veneer), covered with a glossy finish. This was an extremely popular finish at the time to give a look that was both chic, sleek, and modern. The "compass" legs: This black base, wide at the top and tapering diagonally towards the bottom, is one of the most iconic markers of post-war design. It strongly recalls the work of French industrial designers from that era, such as Jean Prouvé, Pierre Guariche, or Jacques Hitier.
