Gunni Omann Model 19 highboard in rosewood, produced by Omann Jun. Denmark 1960s. An impressive Danish highboard characterized by its elegant proportions, refined detailing and beautifully figured rosewood. The highboard features four sliding doors with sculpted solid rosewood handles. Behind the doors is a highly practical interior with generous shelving and six integrated pull-out drawers/trays on the left side. The cabinet rests on a beautifully shaped rosewood base with slender tapered legs, giving the substantial piece a light and elegant appearance. The carefully matched rosewood grain across the sliding doors creates a particularly striking and harmonious front. The highboard is marked with the original Omann Jun. label confirming Model No. 19 and remains in fantastic original condition, with only minor signs of age and use. A beautiful and highly functional example of Gunni Omann’s refined Danish modern design from the 1960s.
