Loom linen chest

Very nice little laundry box loom. Lloyd loom weaving is made from twisted kraft paper on the one hand and kraft paper turned around a steel wire on the other. It is entirely in its juice: original color and lid covered with the original "plush" fabric. It is in excellent condition. It bears the label "lusty" which allows it to be authenticated. In 1922, marshall burns lloyd sold the british patent for the lloyd loom technique to william lusty, a london-based merchant with a plan to make furniture from this innovative material. Lusty developed a unique line of quintessentially english furniture, which quickly became a hit in the uk and the rest of western europe. It is a very beautiful piece, without any defects, from the first half of the twentieth century. Given its strength, it can be used as a booster seat.
