Pencil reed rattan bamboo chest or trunk, 1950s-1960s

Vintage pencil split reed rattan bamboo wicker chest, ca 1950s -1960s. We actually have two of these trunks and the first came to us as 1930s but as we are not sure abut that attribution we've added a few decades. It is in a vintage condition as can be seen on the pics, some small rattan pieces are missing, some patination, some fading, some rust on the nails everything you can expect of a piece of this age. We've decided not to touch it and leave it as is because we love this true original condition. If you are looking for a pristine, immaculate condition piece this chest is not for you but if you can appreciate its originality this is the one and besides we don't think you will ever see another one or two for that matter come up for sale. This one is missing its handles and possibly some feet so we've adjusted the price accordingly. Please see out other items to have a look at our other model.
