Tripod stool made of fibreglass designed by Jean-Raymond Picard in France, around 1955. Considered one of the very first, if not the first French stool in fibreglass, this model reflects the experiments conducted in the 1950s around new composite materials. At that time, glass-fibre reinforced polyester was still rarely used in furniture, before becoming more widely adopted in design, shipbuilding, and the automotive industry. The slightly concave beige seat reveals the visible fibres of the material and features a beautiful parchment-like patina. It rests on a slender tripod base in black lacquered steel, giving the piece a light and graphic presence. Model produced by S.E.T.A., a French interior design company, alongside the fibreglass chair designed by Jean-Raymond Picard. France, around 1955. Some minor缺失.
