Set of 4 fossilized wooden coasters. Petrified wood is a wood fossil (same family as magnolia) dating back 20 million years. Silica has replaced wood fiber molecule by molecule by giving silicified wood. Fossilization is slow which makes it possible to distinguish the patterns of the trees. Petrified wood is a noble material that lies between granite and precious stones. Dimensions (enivron, each piece is significantly different) of each coaster: height: between 1 and 2 cm approximately; diameter: 9.5 cm; weight of the set: about 1kg.
