Antique buffet with marquetry and marble top.

Antique buffet in marquetry, probably dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, topped with a thick grey marble top and featuring two doors with geometric and floral marquetry designs. Made from a combination of precious woods and warm-toned veneers, it stands out for its refined cabinetmaking and its brass lock entries. Its elegant proportions and low format make it an ideal character piece to enhance a living room, dining room, or large entrance hall. Condition: The piece is generally sound, stable, and functional, with doors that open and close properly. The old patina shows several signs of use: there are notable missing and chipped veneers (particularly on the lower uprights and edges), some wear on the marble top, as well as traces of time consistent with its history (clearly visible in the photographs). A buffet with authentic charm marked by the years, perfect for restoration enthusiasts or those seeking pieces with a true story.
