Four chairs in black lacquered wood. A high backrest with a slight curve and an oval opening define the silhouette. The backrest and seat have curves that are as tight as they are ergonomic: the user is almost enveloped by the chair. The straight legs give the chair a stately, almost sculptural appearance. The visible screws on the side show the construction rather than hiding it. Designed by Edoardo Landi for the Italian Nikol International in the 1970s. The Diago model embodies Italian modernism and the post-brutalist movement: a strict geometric structure where function and form come together. Price is for the set of four. For those looking for a suite of six, two extra identical chairs are available on request. In good general condition, with signs of use consistent with its age. One chair has a light crack in the front panel underneath the seat.
