Antique compote dish from Creil and Montereau in ironstone - 19th century

Magnificent footed compote (fruit bowl) in Earthenware, from the prestigious Creil and Montereau factory. A genuine authentic collector's piece, dating from the mid-19th century (Lebeuf and Milliet period, marked "L.M. & Cie" under the base). Superb decoration of blue friezes with motifs of scrolls and lace, very fine and elegant. The decoration is present on the dish as well as on the foot. Very good overall condition for its great age: the earthenware is beautifully crazed by time. Perfect for a chic country decor, Shabby chic, or for a festive table with an authentic style.
