Vintage light wood school desk – Baumann model, 1950s-1960s

Antique school desk by Baumann, made of light wood (probably beech), typical of French productions from the 1950s and 1960s. This utilitarian model, both robust and refined, was originally designed for schools, with its reinforced oblique base, its practical central drawer and its top with softened angles. Today, this desk appeals as much as a collector's item as for its diverted uses. Thanks to its compact dimensions (approx. 60 X 45 X 55 cm), it fits perfectly as a bedside table, side table or console in an entrance hall, while retaining its vintage character. The top shows some visible signs of use. This authentic piece of furniture retains all the charm of post-war French school furniture.
