Description
Breton bowl first name "michel", faïencerie st jean de bretagne. It is in brittany in morbihan, in the town of saint-jean la poterie that st jean earthenware was produced from 1951. Hand-painted, serial number and decorator's signature on the back. An alternative to the famous first name bowls of the earthenware factory of quimper hb henriot, the decorations of the earthenware of st jean are rich in nets, inspired by breton and celtic motifs, in bright colors. The pottery of st jean stopped its production in 1989. ✗ note tiny chipping on the edge, see last photo.
