Antique revolving bookcase

Beautiful large walnut book mill in perfect condition. It is a very solid book mill with a cast iron base. Made around 1900 by the company maple & co. Nice warm color. Size: 60cm X 60cm X h 92cm. Its maker maple & co was by the end of the victorian period (c. 1880) the leading manufacturer of quality furniture in the world. The company has furnished the winter palace of tsar nicholas, the hofburg palace in vienna, all major english embassies around the world, numerous country houses and large hotels. Everyone who was important towards the end of the 19th century had their furniture made by maple & co. The quality and craftsmanship was unprecedented and that can still be clearly seen today.
