Superb two-level rotating mahogany library – 19th century. Elegant 19th-century rotating library made of mahogany, featuring open sides with slats. It is topped with a square solid mahogany shelf, highlighted by beautiful molding. Its two levels of storage are divided into four compartments, defined by solid mahogany vertical posts connecting the shelf to the base and secured with brass nails. The whole piece rests on a base with crossed stretchers, associated with a pivoting mechanism with a metal frame and iron fittings. This is very important for its stability and strength since some have a wooden base. Original ceramic casters complete this piece, which is as practical as it is refined. A true testament to the craftsmanship of cabinetmakers from the early Victorian era, this library combines timeless elegance, functionality, and refinement. A character piece, ideal for adding a touch of authenticity and distinction to a classic or contemporary interior.
