A delightful and character-filled champagne cooler for collectors, crafted by ARGIT in the 1940s for Abel Lepitre. Made in brass with a chrome overlay, much of the chrome has now worn away naturally, revealing the warm brass beneath. The grape-and-vine handles are moulded in pewter and remain in lovely condition. The front features a raised plaque with lettering in relief. Despite its age, the cooler has been well preserved. It displays general signs of use and has a slight wobble to the base, but there are no dents and the circumference has not warped. A wonderful vintage piece. Bottle and flute shown are not included.
