Pair of genuine brass and glass wall sconces, 1960. Design by Carl Fagerlund. This is a collaboration between the Danish lighting manufacturer Lyfa and the Swedish glassworks Orrefors. The fact that these lights are no longer produced makes them rare collector's items. Transparent glass shades with a slightly yellow tint, thick, textured, and curved. The shades are attached with 2 brass buttons to brass wall plates. The wall sconces illuminate beautifully thanks to the reflection of the bulb on the brass plates. Intact authenticity labels. Can be used with switch wiring or directly connected to a wall via the round opening on the brass plate. Each piece weighs 1.7 kg. Each wall sconce requires 1 E27 bulb, max 25 W. LED compatible. Wear consistent with the age and use of these pieces. We have chosen not to polish the brass of this pair to preserve the authenticity label of one of the two. However, the marks of time are not visible when the glass is in place. An additional hole is visible on the bottom right of one of the brass plates; this was from a former faulty switch that we preferred to remove. This does not hinder normal use of the lamp and does not weaken the brass. A scratch is present on the glass of the other lamp, which also does not prevent normal use and does not weaken the glass. The price indicated is for the pair (2 wall sconces). These sconces can be connected directly to the wall or via electrical wiring.
