Pair of wall sconces in genuine brass and glass, 1960. Created by Swedish designer Carl Fagerlund. A collaboration between Danish lighting manufacturer Lyfa and Swedish glassworks Orrefors. The fact that these lights are no longer produced makes them rare collector's items. Thick, textured, curved transparent glass shades. The shades are attached with 2 brass buttons on polished brass wall plates. The wall sconces illuminate beautifully thanks to the reflection of the bulb on the brass plates. Original labels intact. Can be used with switch wiring or directly connected to a wall via the round opening on the brass plate. Each piece weighs 1.7 kg. Each wall sconce requires 1 E27 bulb, max 25 W. Compatible with LED and incandescent (see photos). Light wear consistent with the age and use of these pieces. Recently polished brass to give it a fresh visual appeal. A few slight chips visible on the glass but nothing very noticeable to the naked eye and, importantly, nothing that jeopardizes the integrity of the glass.
