A set of four chairs designed by Warren Platner between 1968 and 1970, featuring a chrome-plated steel structure and white fabric upholstery. This first edition was produced by Knoll. Warren Platner was a revolutionary figure in American design during the 1960s, known for his iconic collection of sculptural furniture. His innovative use of hand-welded steel rods achieved a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. The Platner chair, designed to embrace and complement the user, became a benchmark of modern design. Platner, trained at Cornell University, collaborated with architects such as Eero Saarinen and I. M. Pei before developing his own vision. His partnership with Knoll earned him international recognition, cementing his legacy in design history. The chairs are in very good condition. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be accommodated. Note that colors may vary depending on lighting and screen settings.
