Magnificent amphora vase in neo-Gallo-Roman/Etruscan style made of Italian art glass (Murano), dating from the 1960s-1970s. This mouth-blown glass vase features a stunning intense cobalt blue color. It is distinguished by its "Scavo" finish, a complex artisanal technique involving the application of hot oxides to give the glass a raw, frosted, and corroded appearance, perfectly imitating antique pieces unearthed from archaeological digs. The bulbous body is flanked by two elegant side handles made of satin translucent glass, finished with beautiful hot-applied scrolls. • Style / Period: Vintage, Mid-Century Modern, Italy (attributed to the circle of Seguso Vetri d'Arte or Cenedese) • Technique: Blown glass, Scavo finish, hot-applied handles. • Authenticity detail: Raw base with hand-ground pontil mark, typical of Murano work (no visible signature, consistent with productions of this era) • Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or restorations (see detailed photos of the handles and base). A superb collectible item, ideal for adding a sculptural touch and a deep blue hue to a contemporary interior or an art glass collection.
